IRON MAIDEN /PICK 3 TOURNAMENT – RESULTS
We had a fabulous and super successful first Ladies League tournament last Tuesday. Thank you all for coming out…we hope you had fun. I would like to say a HUGE thank you to Maureen Orchard and Bonny Rowda for organizing everything and running a smooth event! Of course this wouldn’t have been possible without our volunteers Karen Vranas, Danica Frazer, Erin Howe, Trudy Iwanyshyn and Margot Trembath. Thanks for your time and effort!
This year we were VERY LUCKY to have a lot of extra prizes available for draws thanks to Bonny Rowda and Brad Lazarenko. I know the that all of the members are very appreciative!
Ok so now for all the lucky members. Here are the list of winners and prizes.
Hole Prizes: ($10 gift cards)

Congrats Ladies! Hole prizes and gift certificate winners, your prizes are in the scorebooks. If you won a draw prize and did not pick it up last week then we will have them available for pick up at the ProShop on Tuesday or at the next tournament. Please tell proshop you won a prize and they will get for you.
Last but not least….the Tournament winners! We had 10 prizes for Lowest score, 5 for Highest score, 2 for Most putts and 2 for Least putts. You all won $10 gift cards and will be in the scorebooks.

MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE ADVISORY COMMITTEE (MGAC)
I attended the Municipal Golf Course Advisory Committee meeting on Thursday, May 25th and have been asked to send some information to our membership
1) International Women’s Golf Day Event
Volunteers are required for this event on Tuesday, June 6th at Victoria Golf Course. If you are interested in playing and/or volunteering, just show up at the Victoria Golf Course at about 4 PM and check in with the ladies organising the event. More information on this event is on this City of Edmonton webpage:
2) There will be a course review to identify issues with some of the trees on Riverside Golf Course with a representative from the Forestry branch for the City of Edmonton, Golf Course Operations staff from the City and members of clubs golfing at Riverside. This will be happening sometime in July but I don’t have any specific date yet. There is one member from the Men’s Leagues that will be participating, Bob Wylie.
We can only have one female representative and the Day Ladies League President has already told me that there would not be anyone in her league interested in this and that they are okay with Bob representing them.
Are there any ladies in our league interested in participating in this course review to represent the Ladies Leagues (RBG & RDL)?
If you are interested, please let me know by mid June.
If there is no interest in our league, I will ask that Bob represent us as well.
3) I attend the MGAC meetings on a regular basis, the next one is on July 13, 2017. If you have any issues with the course, pro shop, food & beverage service, etc. let me know and I can take your concerns to the representatives from the City at this meeting.
Sherry Rinholm, President
